PURPOSE:-
To lay down procedure for attending complaints & recalling products from market.
PROCEDURE:-
Product is recalled from the market under the following circumstances.
- If it has been observed in the control sample that product is decomposing or has discoloured.
- If a complaint has been received from a doctor, a distributor or any other market person, which has been justified to be correct.
- If it is reported by Drugs Control Department.
METHOD OF RECALLING:-
If the complaint is of serious type i.e. life threatening then use telephone, fax, telegram to recall the goods.Take prompt action. If complaint is not serious i.e. the medicine can not harm the person using it then sent written request to all the distributors & suppliers to whom medicine was sold for returning them.
