PURPOSE:

To lay down procedure for cleaning of storage tank for Injection.

INTRODUCTION:-

As the name itself indicates the tank is  used to store water for injection I.P. Tank is kept in sterile area & the water stored in it, is used for batch manufacturing purposes.  Capacity of tank  is 325 lts.  Tank has been provided with the water inlet, water outlet, drainage pipe & a lid to cover & clean the tank.

REQUIREMENTS:-

1.         Scrubbing brush       

2.         0.2 % teepol soln.

3.         Bucket & Mug

4.         Lint free cloth.

PROCEDURE:-

1          Remove all water for inj. I.P. from the tanks. Close water   Drainage valve.

2          Scrub the tank from inside with brush & 0.2 % teepol soln.

3          Rinse the tank thrice with water followed by twice each with Purified water  & Water For Injection  each.                              

4          The tank is ready for use. Close the drain valve & cover the lid.
