PURPOSE:  To lay down a procedure for cleaning of S.S. Tanks, Pressure Vessels & Material Holding Tanks.

SCOPE: This procedure applies for all S.S tanks, Pressure vessels/Material Holding Tanks

RESPONSIBILITY  :  Supervisor              

                                          Production Chemist

PROCEDURE:

1. Transfer the S.S. Tank, Pressure Vessel & Material Holding Tank with its lid to the washing area.        

Keep aside the lid at sufficient height.

Flush the tank with D.M. Water. Scrub with 0.1% Teepol solution using nylon ball.  Wash the lid similarly.                                                                           

Wash with D.M. Water to remove all traces of the Detergent.                                 

Rinse with filtered Distilled water, and drain off completely. Fix the lid properly.             

Put status label and date.                                                                                                       

Rinse the vessel again with Distilled Water just before use. 

(Review date on or before 12 months from date of authorization)
