Standard Operating Procedure For In process Checks On The Packing Line

PURPOSE:  To ensure the quality of final pack as per prescribed standard.

SCOPEThis procedure applies during inprocess of packing of products.

 RESPONSIBILITY :

            1.Production Chemist

2.Q.A. Chemist

PROCEDURE:

In Process Checks on the Packing Line is to be carried out in following manner:

A.STRIPS

  1. Count the number of strips in the carton.
  2. Check the appearance of the strips.

3.         Check the Batch No., Mfg. Date, Exp. Date & Retail Price and matter on the strips as per Batch Production Record (BPR).

4.         Over printed matter on the aluminum foil is clean and legible.

B.CARTONS

  1. Check the Code No. on the cartons as per reference carton.
  2. Over printed matter is clear and correct.
  3. Check the Batch No., Mfg. Date, Exp. Date & Retail Price on the carton as per Batch Production Record (BPR).
  4. Check the content of the carton such as Leaflet, applicator, etc. if any.
  5. After checking of cartons and strips, the supervisor must endorse the carton along with date on which checked.

.CORRUGATED BOX

  1. Check that corrugated box is of the desired ply and the over printed matter, if any.
  2. The no. of cartons in each corrugated box is to be checked.
  3. The worker who keeping the carton in box must initial on each corrugated box

and writes the quantity
